Meet Thalia Joie
At the heart of everything I do is a deep belief that people thrive when they feel understood, supported, and encouraged to grow.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been in the business of helping people. In my final year of high school, I started tutoring elementary school students in math. I later studied General Management and Psychology at McGill University before founding my own company, Study Buddy Tutoring Services — which is still running today.
Somewhere between explaining quadratic equations and listening to teenagers navigate friendship drama, academic pressure, and identity crises, I realized I was becoming just as interested in people as I was in teaching.
That realization eventually led me toward coaching, facilitation, and corporate training.
-
Over the last several years, I’ve completed more than 500 hours of coaching, supporting people through self-doubt, people-pleasing, burnout, communication challenges, boundary-setting, and major life transitions. I’ve worked with clients across the globe and, through those conversations, I’ve come to believe that most of us are searching for the same thing: a sense of fulfillment, alignment, and connection in the way we live and work.
-
That same passion eventually expanded into corporate training and facilitation. I began developing workshops focused on communication, emotional intelligence, workplace well-being, and sustainable performance, later going on to deliver large-scale federal trainings for thousands of employees across Canada through the ESDC.
-
Whether I’m facilitating a corporate workshop, coaching someone through a difficult season of life, or helping a client rethink the way they communicate and care for themselves, what continues to inspire me most is witnessing the moment something truly clicks. The moment a person gains clarity, sees themselves differently, or realizes they’re more capable than they thought.
That transformation never gets old to me.
